Mobile C.A.R.E. Foundation

Mobile C.A.R.E. operates mobile medical units, the Asthma Vans, to bring much-needed asthma care and education to hundreds of students each year at dozens of schools and Head Start sites across the city. By bringing treatment directly to patients, Mobile C.A.R.E. is able to overcome the barriers to access faced in hard-to-reach communities. Children receiving medical care and health education on the Asthma Vans experience fewer emergency room visits, hospitalizations, and missed school days. Through improved control over their asthma, children are healthier and happier and their family’s quality of life is improved.
